The Baker Behind the Cakes
Made with Love, Rooted in Tradition
I grew up as the youngest of four kids in a family where baking wasn't just something we did — it was how we showed love. My earliest memory in the kitchen is learning to make my Dad's favorite peanut butter cookies at age six. I was hooked from that very first batch.
Our family recipes are more than 200 years old, passed down through generations with care and intention. I started Vernele's Bakery to share those wonderful traditions — and to keep those flavors alive for the people and moments that matter most.
The bakery is named in honor of my Grandma Vernele, whose kitchen was always the warmest place in the house. Everything we make here — every wedding cake, every dessert bar, every cobbler and cookie — carries a piece of that warmth with it.
I believe dessert is one of the most sincere ways to show someone you care. Whether it's a towering wedding cake or a simple batch of cookies, we pour that same love into everything that leaves our kitchen in Conroe, Texas.
